We Are the Georgian Acres Park Champions

Saturday, March 2nd, 2019 from 9:00am to 12:00pm (CT)

About

Meet us at the Georgian Acres Neighborhood Park tucked away in North Austin's Georgian Acres neighborhood. Join neighborhood residents and fellow park lovers as we pick up litter and pull out weeds on all five acres of this one-of-a-kind park land which was just awarded the 2019 Austin Parks Foundation ACL $100,000 Impact Grant and a 100% match from Dell Technologies Match Play! The park is breaking ground in Spring or Summer of 2019. Become a park champion with us!

We'll bring trash bags, gloves, snacks and a giant water jug. Just bring yourself, a friend or neighbor, or your kids! To help us reduce waste, bring your own water bottle. Note: There are no bathroom facilities at the park.

More about Georgian Acres: Our neighborhood covers the area between 183 to the south, Rundberg to the north, North Lamar to the west, and I-35 to the east. We are home to people from many different countries and ethnicities with multiple languages spoken, and lots of children. Our residents have advocated for park land, an inclusive park planning process and park funds which will make our park a dream come true in the near future.  Learn more about our work.
