My name is Tristan Guyette and I'm a national field organizer with Beyond The Bomb. We are a people powered campaign working to free our world from nuclear violence and war by harnessing the power of grassroots organizing and mobilizing people to create change. For us, this means working towards policies that limit the use of nuclear weapons, and towards restorative justice for the people and land impacted by nuclear weapons. Through ongoing webinars, one-on-one coaching and national events, we'll give you all the tools you need to help put checks and balances back on the US Nuclear Weapons systems. As a campus leader, we ask that you give us 4-8 hours of your month - or more if you want! In return you'll get one-on-one coaching from our field team, materials support like signs and t-shirts, and a support network of like-minded people working on resolutions across the country. We'll help you start a chapter on campus, or give you the tools to work on your own as well! Some of our previous volunteer activities have included rallies against Michael Bolton, helping get some of our students on the news for their story on the false alert nuclear text in Hawaii, and a yearly retreat in DC for interested leaders. If nuclear weapons freak you out, or you think it's crazy that nothing stops the president from launching one, we want to work with you!
