|Age Limit||Family Friendly|
We will gather at the entrance at 51st Street just west of the Super 8 motel (parking is available in their lot along the fence by the park). After a brief overview we will send teams out into the park to explore, beautify, spread wildflower seeds and map out bulky trash sites within the park. We will also be conducting tree mapping of the native, hardwood trees in the park as well as areas with invasive species for future removal.
Volunteers should come prepared to work outside on uneven terrain. Please be sure to dress for the weather and wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting dirty or wet. Closed toed shoes are required and long pants are recommended. We also do not provide water bottles so please bring a full reusable water bottle to stay hydrated. Note: there is lots of poison ivy in the park right now, so beware!
|Parking Details||Parking is available in the Super 8 parking lot on 51st by Hwy 183|
