About

The Nashman Center for Community Service and Civic Engagement joins the GW School of Business for the Nashman Center Symposium which highlights the service and civic engagement of GW faculty and students from every corner of campus in one afternoon!  Showcase sessions are from 1:30-2:30 and include a different dessert in each room-we encourage students to visit each room for a look at different kinds of community scholarship. From 2:30-3:30 students can choose from 6 different sessions including one session specifically focused on the scholarship of business innovations that center and serve the community.

Show case about "The experience of Older adults in Ward One" impress me the most for its well organised presenting. It provides me views of how we college students can involved in the community and actually helps the old.
I attend the Concurrent Reflection Sessions and listened to The Beyond Service- Social Change as Good Business. The most important thing I learned from the presenters is that we should consider business strategies into community engagement not for profit but for benefits more people and practice what we learned in the business school. These experience can serve as important resource when we get into the business area.
