Metz Rain Garden Restoration!: Keep Austin Beautiful Day

Saturday, April 13th, 2019 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm (CT)

About

We are cleaning out and replanting our rain gardens on April 13!  We have two rain gardens that capture water from parking lots.  The gardens are a great way for students to learn about our watershed and how we can help keep the watershed clean and healthy.

It looks as though it will clear from 10-12. Come out to help if you can! We will post if this Texas weather changes its mind.

We will postpone until the storm clears. I’ll send a message to the wall if we will be able to work this morning. If not, please come out this afternoon!

Thunder and lightning! If it lets up by 9 we will go ahead. If not we will postpone till the storm clears.

Good morning! The rain chances have decreased. We will go ahead as planned. We will meet by the portables on the south side of Metz. We will have access to the building in case of thunderstorms. I’ll post again if the weather takes a dramatic turn. Thank you!

Good morning, volunteers! We are excited to refurbish our rain gardens tomorrow. Rain is forecast for the morning, but if it's a light rain with no thunder, we will work as planned. No rain is predicted for the afternoon. If it's thundering and lightning, we will postpone to Sunday afternoon, 1-3.
I'll write a message by 7 am updating our status for Saturday. We will have tacos/ snacks for both sessions. We still have slots open for the afternoon as well. Thank you!!
