About

If you are interested in plants, park ecosystems and getting down and dirty this may be an opportunity for you!  We are looking for groups of folks to help us remove the unwanted invasive plants from our parks, such as Japanese Honeysuckle and Chinese privet; they are taking over, reducing biodiversity and damaging the natural environment.
If you are interested, all you need to do is gather a group of 3 or more people and contact the Parks and Recreation Volunteer Coordinator to arrange for a work party.  We will provide the equipment, training and work along side you and your group to remove these unwanted plants in one of our parks.
If your group wants to make a long-term impact, adopting a spot through the Adopt-A-Park or Trail program is also available.
