Speak Up! Speak Out! mentors meet with teams of middle and high school students as they prepare to participate in the Speak Up! Speak Out! Civics Fair in December of the fall semester.
Mentors must be undergraduate students, must have a strong interest in working with middle or high school students, social issues, and youth empowerment, and must have the capacity to assist students with project conceptualization, group decision-making, research, and public speaking.
Mentors must be able to commit to a school visit of at least one hour per week, and must be able to pass a background check in order to apply.
