Puerto Rico Service/Adventure Trip

Sunday, December 15th from 9:00am to Saturday, December 21st, 2019 5:00pm (ET)

About

We're headed down to Puerto Rico again this semester to continue the effort to help rebuild after hurricanes Maria and Irma devastated the island. We'll be headed to El Yunque, the only tropical National Rainforest in the National Forest Service system. We'll be helping rebuild/clear trails for visitors to enjoy and clearing out their primitive campsites so that families can once again enjoy camping with the enchanting sound of Coqui everywhere! We'll also head to Hacienda Tres Angeles to work with our community partner there on a local organic coffee farm to help replant and recover from the effects of the hurricane. We'll be a self contained unit, primitive camping in El Yunque and on the coffee farm ourselves with very few amenities even accessible. If you love nature, connecting people to the outdoors, and want a way to help out Puerto Rico, this is the trip for you!

All meals, transportation in-country, and accommodations are included. Participants are only required to purchase their flights to and from Puerto Rico during the program dates.

Cost for USF students (flights not included): $600
