Future Forest Tree Planting

Saturday, December 5th, 2015 from 9:00am to 12:00pm (CT)

About

Please join us Saturday, 12/5 at 9:00 am to plant some native trees and help build the future forest at Pease Park. We have purchased 10-15 gallon native oak trees that will help replace the elder trees in the area. The trees will also keep the Shoal Creek Trail shaded during the hot summer months.

We will also be picking up trash washed down during the flood and doing some light trail work. There will be tasks for all ages.

Pease Park Conservancy will be providing all the necessary tools and gloves for volunteers as well as some tasty snacks and water to keep everyone hydrated. Please dress for outdoor activity (i.e., closed toe shoes and clothing that can get dirty).

Thanks, hope to see you out there!
