About

My name is Cora Wolfinger and I am the program assistant for the GW Nashman Center for Civic Engagement and Public Service and the School Without Walls partnership.  The Nashman Center strives to meet community needs beyond the campus through strong and reciprocal partnerships with a variety of organizations. We aim to build connections, share resources and support the mission and work of our partners.  Our goal is to advance the mission of our partner organizations and connect thousands of GW students to work with partnering organizations locally, regionally and abroad.

We are looking for interested volunteers work with School Without Walls and support the senior thesis reading program.  Volunteers would be grading/providing feedback to the drafts of student papers. Each senior at SWW is writing a 15 page senior thesis that they will formally present in April on a topic of their choice.  We are asking volunteers to review at least 1-5 papers. The only requirement of volunteers is that they hold a degree from an accredited university, all other work would be completed remotely.  The rough draft of papers by the students should be done mid-December and we are asking that the feedback to be completed by mid-January.

Thank you for your time and consideration.  We hope that you are interested! If you are please email gwserves@gwu.edu and we can mark your interest for the volunteering opportunity.
