Join Austin Parks Foundation for a day of service in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Learn to plant baby Bald Cypress trees at the Colorado Rive Wildlife Sanctuary with Rene' Barrera, Environmental Conservation Information Specialist, Natural Resources Division, Parks and Recreation Department who will lead this project and provide background information on the Wildlife Sanctuary and a thorough description of the role Bald Cypress trees provide in the Colorado River ecosystem.

All tools including gloves will be provided.  Bring a water bottle to refill and dress for the weather including long pants and long-sleeved shirts.  Waterproof boots are highly recommended.
