Join Keep Austin Beautiful and the Texas Conservation Corps as we celebrate Martin Luther King Jr Day by beautifying Heritage Oaks park is South Austin. Volunteers will be working with TXCC Corpsmembers to build a trail along the pond on the west side of the park. This project is open to all skill levels, with seasoned volunteers around to help with questions you may have. If time and numbers permit, we will expand into invasive species removal and restoration.

Keep Austin Beautiful will have a table set up in northwest corner of the park, near the sidewalk ramp. We will have breakfast goodies and coffee available for those who join! We will provide a water cooler, however we ask that volunteers bring their own bottles to help limit waste. Volunteers are required to wear closed-toe shoes, and long sleeves and pants are encouraged.

If you are interested in learning more about trailbuilding before the event, Ecology Action of Texas and Texas Trail Tamers is hosting a two day trail building workshop on Jan 11th and 12th.
