About
Seton Youth Shelters seeks volunteers for their Mentoring Children of Prisoners Program, which matches a youth between the ages of 4 and 18 with an adult mentor age 20 or older. All of the youth in this program have been affected by the incarceration (past or present) of a family memeber. Mentors will spend a minimum of 4 hours per month (weekly or biweekly) with their mentee participating in recreational activities, helping with homework, going to museums, visits to the beach, going to the libraty, and other age-appropriate activities. Minimun 1 year commitment. Background checks will be performed. This volunteer opportunity is available all over Hampton Roads.
