About

Learn how a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) helps children in foster care build their future while being their voice to advocate for their best interests and help find them their forever home. During this time it is crucial to have a strong voice and caring heart for all youth in foster care who are feeling the effects of not only their personal crisis but now also the public health crisis.

Join us on Zoom for a brief, non-committal 45 minute information session to hear about the roles and requirements of a CASA volunteer. These sessions explain the role of an advocate and the next steps in the application process.

Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions:
  1. Have you or someone in your household traveled to a country on the CDC’s Level 3 watch list in the last 30 days? At this time, these include China, Iran, Italy and South Korea. These may change. See the CDC’s guidelines for the most up-to-date list.
  2. Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.
  3. Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a fever, cough or shortness of breath. See the CDC’s symptom information.
If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, we ask you not to register. We are doing all we can to align with best practices and keep our community healthy.
