Hiring Appointments
Applicants will be contacted to schedule a hiring appointment. Appointments will be held via Zoom.

Hours per Week: At least 8 hours every week 
  • Virtual Office Hours: 10am-3pm T-F (to be scheduled within this time frame)
  • Virtual Weekly Meeting: 10am-12pm F 

Wage/Salary: $13.50/hour


Work Site Location:
 Remote with potential for on-site work at Passion Impact if PCC restrictions are lifted.


JOB DESCRIPTION:
The responsibilities of this work study position:

Serve as a representative of Passion Impact, PCC Community-Based Learning, and PCC Federal Work Study

Explore opportunities for community engagement:

  • Find community organizations with volunteer opportunities open to students
  • Explore the volunteer experience, reflect on whether the opportunity could be valuable for PCC students.
  • Find out what students are interested in and assist in identifying volunteer opportunities for them

Outreach to PCC students and staff by sharing information about Community Engagement through:

  • Online volunteer platforms (GivePulse)
  • Following up with students who have expressed an interest in volunteering (i.e., calling, texting, and emailing)
  • Posting blogs, photos, or videos that incorporate your volunteer experiences
  • Contributing to the Passion Impact Newsletter
  • Brainstorming with students on their research of community engagement

Engage in the community with other students:

  • Participate in virtual volunteer events that you have identified for yourself or other students

Assist with program-oriented projects including, but not limited to:

  • GivePulse User Onboarding (facilitating orientations, trainings, and workshops)
  • Passion Impact High School Volunteer Event Program
    • Working with the High School Program Coordinator to support 9th grade students and their parents at Franklin High School through phone calls, texts, and periodic emails
  • Support PI's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion work through attending DEI Committee Meetings and supporting ongoing DEI Projects
