About

Hope to Home Furniture Resource is an organization dedicated towards providing furnishing to those is difficult situations, mainly those who are just coming out of homelessness. 

This service event requires manual labor delivering essential furniture goods (i.e. couches, beds, dressers, tables) to those who are coming out of distressed situations. Mainly we serve individuals coming out of homelessness and have been recently placed in new apartments and homes which need furnishing.



If you have been having any COVID-19 symptoms you will not be allowed to serve

***ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST BRING THEIR OWN FACE MASK OR PPE AND FOLLOW THE CDC STANDARDS FOR SAFE SERVICE UNDER COVID-19**

Student Protocol for Community Service

All students must follow the CDC standards and guidelines when volunteering with an external community organization. The following guidelines will be required of all Citadel students:

  • Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
  • Stay at least 6 feet (about two arms lengths) away from other people
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a cloth face cover when inside or around others
  • Cover coughs and sneezes
  • Monitor your health – watch for fever, cough, and shortness of breath. Do not serve if you experience any symptoms of COVID-19

Requirement Details
Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions:
  1. Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.

  2. Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information.

If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, we ask you not to register. We are doing all we can to align with best practices and keep our community healthy.
