Join fellow community members and gardeners for the Fall It's My Park Day.  Festival Beach Community Garden is a 2-acres of property at the corner of Waller and Clermont Streets in East Austin, divided into affordable garden plots and community spaces. Since opening in April 2010, our garden has grown to include more than 100 gardeners growing a variety of vegetables, fruits, flowers and plants.  Tasks for the volunteer workday include:
*Planting native perennials throughout the garden
*Planting native milkweed in the rain garden/ swale
*Planting native grasses in the meadow
*Mulching trees

All ages are welcome.  No gardening experience needed.  
Please bring gloves (if you have them), a water bottle, and insect repellent.  It's recommended that you also wear closed toed shoes, sun protection, and long pants.
