North Oaks Park Tree Planting, Mulching and Kids Activity

Join in the fun and join your fellow park lovers in getting a bit dirty in a mulch pile and completing a kids art project.

We will meet at 9:00 am for introductions and to divide tasks and create teams. We will spend the morning mulching our newest trees in the park so they can stay hydrated and healthy. We have one tree that died, help us replace that tree and plant a new one. We have large logs we need moved in order to restore the nature play area near the playground. We can always pick up and dispose of trash in the park and on Plaza Drive. 

We will be hosting Roots and Wings Festival during the same hours as It's My Park Day which celebrates pollinators and trees and focuses on education. We will have give away bags and educational activities for children. The acorn activity will be from 10:00 am -11:00 am for kids, after that, kids are welcome to play at the playground and enjoy the park.

Please bring a water bottle and wear appropriate work clothing if you plan to work on mulch and tree planting. Please wear appropriate footwear and bring snacks if you need them.  We do not have restrooms in the park at this time. Please stay home if you are feeling ill.
