Roy G. Guerrero Disc Golf Course Mulching & Clean Up

Please come join Waterloo Disc Golf Club as we work on the disc golf course at Roy G. Guerrero Park.  We will be putting mulch around the baskets, tee boxes, and other high traffic areas to reduce soil compaction and erosion, and to encourage the growth of the grass.  We may also do some brush removal plus some trash pick-up (though the course tends to be fairly clean).

We will provide tools and gloves but PLEASE BRING A WATER BOTTLE and wear work appropriate clothing, and if you can bring an extra pair of loppers, pitchfork, or rock rake (the heavy duty kind of rake, not lightweight leaf/grass rake), please do so.

We'll meet at the parking lot behind hole #2, 508 Grove Blvd,  and get started right at 9am. Project registration is limited so if something changes between the time you register and the event, please let us know so we can open that spot back up. Plenty of drinks and snacks provided by the disc golf club, plus Austin Parks Foundation always has a great It's My Park Day t-shirt designed by local artists for the volunteers!
