Join your fellow park lovers as we give back at Gus Garcia Park! We'll spend the day reinvigorating our butterfly garden, picking up trash and showing our love & appreciation for our wonderful park land! Volunteers get the satisfaction of giving back and of course, an AWESOME It's My Park Day t-shirt designed by local artists!
This is also a great opportunity to come check out our new basketball court & full wall mural honoring our location's namesake, Gus Garcia!
Snacks and water will be provided. We highly recommend wearing closed toe shoes, bringing sunscreen and possibly a light jacket or rain jacket (because this is Texas and you just never know what to expect! 😊). We also recommend bringing work gloves if you have them; we will have some on March 4th as well.
We'll meet in front of the rec center and get started right at 8:00am. Thank you so much for joining us on It's My Park Day!
