About

UP-dATE: The creek is running high, so if you have high rubber boots, they will be useful.  The majority of the trash accumulation is East of the splash pad area to the creek crossing at E. 51st St. When you check in, I'll direct you to access points along the north bank. Most will be behind the ball fields. There are still many openings, so invite your friends and neighbors.

We will spend the morning cleaning trash from Tannehill Branch Creek. In addition to a cleaner creek, less trash reduces upstream flooding! We do separate any recyclables from the run of the mill and not so run of the mill trash. Please wear close-toed shoes or boots and long-sleeved shirts.  Bring a waterbottle. refills are available from the big orange plastic jug. At the end of the morning, join your neighbors, new friends to go to a Pomerleau Park (1906 Patton Lane) potluck to celebrate the opening of Pomerleau Park and WPNA's first Pomerleau pick-up. Bike to Pomerleau along Greenbrook and Westminster and Linda Lane to highlight the need for expanded mobility in our neighborhood.

Hello All, Thank you all for volunteering to clean up Tannehill Branch Creek in Bartholomew Park. We will meet at 9:00 AM tomorrow, Nov. 4, at the splashpad at Greenbrook and Berkman. Because of the rain, the creek is high, so if you have high rubber boots, they work well. If not, come anyway, there's lots of accessible trash. I just walked the creek and can direct you to accessible points of entry where there happens to be a lot of trash accumulation behind the ballfields and to the E. 51st parking lot. Hope to see you tomorrow and bring your friends.
