SOLIDARIDAD INTERNSHIP
Working with young activists to improve farmworkers' lives
Spend the academic year interning at Student Action with Farmworkers' office learning about the social justice movement and gaining leadership skills. Through mentorship and training, 5-10 Solidaridad interns will gain an understanding of farmworker issues and experience social justice and nonprofit work, while increasing SAF's capacity to train farmworker youth, build advocacy and organizing campaigns, increase our communications and be a strong sustainable organization.
Sept. 2019 - April 2020 | 10 hours per week, 24 weeks
Online applications accepted on a rolling basis through August 28th. There is a $20 application fee. To pay the fee please go to the SAF donation page and enter your application fee as a donation specifying it is for the Solidaridad internship on the donation note.

ELIGIBLITYPreference will be given to students currently enrolled in college in the NC Triangle area.
DREAMers or recent graduates based in the Triangle area are encouraged to apply
No Spanish Language required
Able to work approximately 10 hours/week and provide your own transportation to the SAF office
SAF preferences students from farmworker families.
Social Work students fulfilling internship requirements at NC State, UNC-Chapel Hill, Duke & NCCU are encouraged to apply
Participants must fundraise $450 to contribute to SAF's work
