About

We believe that every child should have the opportunity to love healthy foods. We believe that if given the skills and knowledge necessary to have a more active role in their food choices children will desire to become proponents for their health.

The Farm to Table Cooking Class builds enthusiasm around fresh fruits and vegetables and empowers students with the skills and the desire to prepare healthy food. It is a unique way for students to learn how to prepare a meal.

Apple Seeds hosts students in our garden kitchen where the kids are in charge for the day – they read recipes, they harvest the ingredients, they prepare recipes at cooking stations, they pick flowers for the table, they set the table, and they sit down together in the garden to eat. This novel experience shows the students how to make healthy eating a fun adventure.
