LITTLE HUMMINGBIRD SOCIETY: Zilker Park Cleanup and Nature Hike!

Saturday, September 15th, 2018 from 9:00am to 12:00pm (CT)

About

Please join us for our first ever Little Hummingbirds Society project! Little Hummingbird Society offers kids a great way to learn about giving back to their community and the importance of Austin's parks, trails and green spaces. Parents can have fun with their kids while promoting a healthy lifestyle, volunteerism and advocacy for your youngest park-goers!

Sharon, your wonderful leader for the day, will guide you on a nature walk through the Greenbelt as you pick up trash along the trail and learn all about our city's nature and history! This will be a great opportunity for parents to get out with their kids and make a significant impact together in one of Austin's most treasured trails.

We will provide snacks, sunscreen, gloves and trash grabbers. Snack, water and play breaks will be built into the day. Please bring your own water bottle and wear closed toe shoes. Hats are encouraged!

You will meet Sharon at the picnic tables by the Violet Crown Trailhead at Zilker Park. Parking is free and shouldn't be too crowded that early. Don't forget a swimsuit to cool off at Barton Springs when the day is done!
