Come volunteer on Make a Difference Day and help us winterize the garden! Help feed the community while feeding your soul. Soak up the beautiful autumnal weather and get your hands dirty doing things like removing summer garden annuals, stakes, trellises, string ties, weeds, and put down straw to ready beds for the winter. Depending on the turnout we may work to build more garden beds, save seeds, and/or work on our pond construction. All an important part of the permaculture garden cycle.
Tri Cycle Farms is a natural, chemical-free urban farm in Fayetteville, Arkansas that serves the local community by helping to alleviate food insecurity. We grow healthy fruits and veggies through the volunteerism of community members like you. Through a partnership with Whole Foods we are able to divert tens of thousands of pounds of food each year from landfill and help hundreds of families each week by getting wholesome, highly nutritious food into hungry bellies.
Park across the street at the Trinity Church parking lot. Carpooling is best. Biking and walking are encouraged! Bikes can be parked at the farm itself. Wear clothing and shoes appropriate to the garden setting and bring water if you can. Tools will be provided, but if you have gardening gloves you're fond of, go ahead and bring them! We're so happy to have you become part of our Tri Cycle family!
