Volunteer in elementary classrooms for our Annual Literacy Project

Open Opportunity

About

Description
Washington County: The Agricultural Literacy Project connects volunteers from the agricultural community with local classrooms!

Starting March 5th, trained volunteers visit classrooms, read the featured book and lead an activity with the students reinforcing the message or theme of the book. The lesson takes 45-60 minutes. This year, we will be featuring the book "John Deere, That's Who!" The lesson will focus on ingenuity in engineering.

We are looking for volunteers interested in doing this in one (or more!) elementary classroom. All materials are provided by Oregon AITC. We would love to work with college students! Once you have registered here, Kassia will be in touch to discuss the next steps in the volunteering process.
