I love volunteering at the hospital as it offers many opportunities to be involved in the satisfaction of each patient.

With a group of friends, we created crafts (small hand turkeys) for children at the St. David's Children's Hospital. These crafts were small hand turkeys that I created with a group of friends and will benefit this hospital. The ability to support these kids brings a smile to my face and I believe that it is our responsibility to give back to those who are less fortunate.
I volunteered at the volunteer desk at St. David's Medical Center to help the staff with discharges and deliveries throughout the hospital. I was able to reach out and talk to patients who had trouble getting what they needed or even getting around the hospital. I really liked when I got to chat with the patients about how they were doing during discharges to propel that positive feeling about leaving the hospital.
It was a pleasant experience to volunteer at the hospital to help patients in need. There were many discharges and deliveries that had to be done throughout the hospital.
I volunteered in St. David's medical center once a week for 3 hours, and I do the same thing every week.
"Last semester, I volunteered in St. David's hospital regularly every week, and my shift was at the nurse unit where the nurses and techs took care of the patients. I was there to help out with the nurses and techs with restocking linens and restocking medical supplies, and it usually takes the whole shift to do those tasks. However, when I do have some time left then I also hand out empty patient folders back to the according floors."
