Enterprise Volunteers

About

Since our founding in 1957, we have worked to be an engaged corporate citizen that makes a real difference in the communities where we live and work. Our company began with a single neighborhood office and a simple commitment to serve our customers, employees and communities. As our business continues to grow, we work to extend that same spirit of care and respect to thousands of communities around the world.

Started in 1982 by our company’s founder Jack Taylor, the Enterprise Holdings Foundation was established to allow the company to give back to the communities where our customers and employees live and work. The Foundation has contributed more than $230 million to thousands of registered non-profit efforts since its inception.

In fiscal year 2015 alone, the Enterprise Holdings Foundation awarded $27.5 million in grants. Eighty-six percent of these grants fulfilled requests by employees to help community causes they personally champion and actively support.

The Enterprise Holdings Foundation also assists many local causes by providing a 50 percent match of employees’ contributions to United Way campaigns throughout their communities. The Foundation provides more sizable grants to nonprofit groups or causes of significant strategic or social importance to our company and our employees. And, as the need arises, the Foundation supports important relief efforts in the wake of natural disasters and other crises that affect our customers and our employees.
