Fernbank Museum

About

Fernbank Museum, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is one of the most popular and iconic cultural attractions in Atlanta. Fernbank's mission is to ignite a passion for science, nature and human culture through exploration and discovery. Volunteering at Fernbank Museum provides the opportunity to interact with the public in an exciting and educational environment, while also supporting one of Atlanta's major cultural institutions.

Volunteers are museum ambassadors who greet and assist museum guests, engage visitors in exhibitions, assist with ecological restoration of Fernbank Forest, and help behind scenes and at special events. Volunteers are essential to the success of Fernbank, and their commitment and enthusiasm is vital to each visitor's experience. Each year volunteers donate over 10,000 hours to Fernbank Museum and help to make it possible for us to offer a warm, knowledgeable welcome to our visitors on a daily basis.
