Lawrence University KidsGive

KidsGive is a nonprofit organization associated with Lawrence University. Our mission is to educate students in the U.S. about Sierra Leonean life and culture as well as to promote informed giving while providing children in Sierra Leone with the opportunity to learn and become the next great leaders of their generation. We achieve this mission through several different methods. At our core, we are an educational organization. Thus, a pillar of our group is the scholarship fund that goes to several kids from Sierra Leone every year. We also focus on education in the states. KidsGive gives presentations at various elementary schools in the Appleton area that focus on various aspects of Sierra Leone (e.g. culture, climate, history). We also provide opportunities for field research. Every year students from Lawrence University have the opportunity to travel to Sierra Leone and conduct independent projects pertaining to their individual majors.
