For families whose children have severe special needs, the Rosedale School offers one simple message: Your child is welcome here.

The school's well-experienced educators serve students who have significant disabilities, including children who are medically fragile or who need intensive behavioral support.

Rosedale, nestled in the Central Austin neighborhood that bears its name, offers a caring, family-focused community that supports students’ unique learning needs in a positive environment.

Through Rosedale's tailored educational opportunities and quality instruction, students increase their independence, improve their self-esteem and experience a greater quality of life. Students who are 18 to 21 years old can apply to participate in the GO Project, a community-based, transition program to move from the high-school setting to a college or work environment.

Rosedale also houses the Transition to Life in the Community program, often referred to as TLC, which focuses on preparing students for life after graduation.

Serving and empowering students who have special needs with love and respect, Rosedale is among Austin’s most beloved schools.

Every year, students and teachers dress up for a much-anticipated prom and school champions hit the road for the Rosedale Ride.
