Central Falls Office on Health

About

The Central Falls Office on Health is charged with helping Central Falls to become the healthiest city in Rhode Island. In close coordination with Blackstone Valley Community Health Care, Progreso Latino, Memorial Hospital, the YMCA of Pawtucket and Central Falls, Nursing Placement, Inc; The Providence Center, Gateway Health Care, Anchor Recovery and others, we work to make sure all residents of Central Falls get the health services they need, and work to make sure those health services are effective at improving the health of everyone in the City.

Calling for an ambulance can become extremely costly. The Office on Health follows up with everyone who calls an ambulance 72 hours after. The Office analyzes EMS runs to provide opportunities to help people become healthier.

The Office on Health very closely monitors and analyzes drug and alcohol use in the City. We created the State's first dashboard on substance and alcohol abuse and have implemented it to organize and assist

Since its establishment by Mayor Diossa in April of 2016, the Office on Health has assisted both the Mayor and the City Council in making health related decisions for the community.
