Jump on the Walking School Bus and help walk Spokane Public Schools elementary school students to school in the morning!
30 minutes of exercise + 30 minutes of mentoring = energized, successful students ready to learn and engage in the classroom.
The Walking School Bus asks for mentors to volunteer an hour and a half one morning per week, 7:00 - 8:30 AM and walk students to school in the morning. Routes are pre-planned based on the safest route possible. As a mentor you are responsible for modeling appropriate and safe walking behaviors as well as encouraging daily attendance.
