GW Composting and Gardening Program

This program collects food scraps from the biology department offices – Bell 302 and SHE 6100. This is still in the piloting phase. Our composters are located outside the Bell Hall greenhouse. The resulting soil will be used for our growing program. Students will also organize drop off from GW students or other composting aficionados. Growing program: this program will plant seeds for different gardening programs within elementary schools, community gardens, and our own GW Grow Garden. This will require constant attention: water, organic fertilizers, seeding, transplanting as they grow, and planting into the gardens.
