Providence Holy Family Hospital

About

Making Life Better

For a few hours a week, you can be part of a world-class team at Providence Holy Family Hospital through its volunteer program. Providence is a place where healing occurs, not only by medical and surgical intervention, but by the touch of a hand, a shared smile, a listening ear, a prayer or a knowing wink. It's a place where you can make a difference through your acts of kindness, making life better for you and for those you help.

We have a variety of Volunteer Positions available.  Once you complete an application, and onboarding process, we can place you in a position suited to your strengths. All Volunteers must complete an application, background check and health screening.  Volunteers will be placed in a department or division of the hospital after completion of the training to match your skills with the right service opportunity. Practicum students are welcome.

What We Do

Medical excellence, close to home:

Providence Holy Family Hospital is a progressive, full-service hospital offering a full range of medical and surgical services as well as specialty support and outpatient services.

Holy Family is among the largest 25 employers in Spokane County with over 1,000 employees and more than 180 physicians representing most medical specialties.

We are committed to a healing ministry of Jesus in the Catholic tradition, emphasizing the values of Compassion, Dignity, Justice, Excellence and integrity.  We are also dedicated to community outreach activities promoting community health through education and other neighborhood issues, projects and events.  Holy Family Hospital primarily serves north Spokane County, the fastest growing area in our region.

Award-Winning Care

Providence Holy Family Hospital is consistently recognized as high performing for our clinical excellence, and recently achieved Magnet recognition from the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a reflection of our nursing professionalism, teamwork and superiority in patient care.

The Get With The Guidelines Stroke Gold Plus designation is the highest level of achievement, and significant for a program that serves more than three times the number of people than any other health provider in the region.
