About
The Chicago Parks Foundation provides volunteer groups with supplies and support to independently host clean-ups at any of Chicago’s 600+ parks from June through October.
Pitch in to help keep our parks clean, safe and beautiful!
In 2020, the CPF launched our first ever citywide volunteer park clean-up initiative. Thanks to outstanding community enthusiasm, the effort has quickly grown and we have supported thousands of volunteers for hundreds of clean-up events!
2024 HOST AND VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION COMING SOON
Want to host a Pitch In for the Parks clean-up?
As a PIFTP 'host', you'll independently lead small volunteer groups in simple 1-2 hour trash pick-ups at your convenience.
- You pick the park and dates.
- Gather your own pals or choose for your clean-up to be listed as a public event on our platform for additional volunteers to register to join you.
- In advance of your event date(s), the CPF delivers complimentary supplies to you - trash bags, gloves, and water. Then you lead the clean-up(s) independently and report back to us as needed for support!
Interested in joining a clean-up rather than hosting one?
Clean-up groups seeking participants are listed below for registration.
Some participating parks will kick off early with a special It's Your Park Day event on Saturday, June 1st. Then all PIFTP park clean-ups continue citywide June through October.
Pitch In for the Parks is generously supported in part by Boxed Water and Move-Tastic.
