About
Our Mission
At the Cibolo Center for Conservation, our mission is to inspire the conservation of nature through education, stewardship, and community connections.
Who We Are
The Cibolo Center for Conservation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting natural resources and connecting people to the land. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we provide immersive nature education and conservation experiences for all ages.
Cibolo Nature Center
Located at 140 City Park Road in Boerne, the Cibolo Nature Center invites visitors to explore trails that wind through four unique ecosystems—riparian creek, tallgrass prairie, oak woodlands, and lush marshland. In addition to the scenic beauty, we offer dynamic educational programs for children and adults, support ongoing research in local flora, fauna, and water quality, and promote the use of Native Texas plants in landscaping and restoration efforts.
Herff Farm
Just across Cibolo Creek, Herff Farm at 33 Herff Road is a vibrant extension of our conservation efforts. Open to the public on Saturdays, Herff Farm is a hub for sustainable living, learning, and community engagement. Volunteers are welcome throughout the week, and the farm features educational gardens, the historic Herff House, seasonal festivals, and our beloved Saturday Farmers Market.
