Today we served chicken frittatas with rice, beans, and potatoes. The food smelled really good!
Today was Easter Sunday and for breakfast, we served eggs with potatoes and sausages.
It's always nice, but challenging to work with new students.
love my student
I tutored two different students today. One of them struggles with English, so it was nice to be able to help her in her native language which helped her understand the lesson a lot better.
Today my student was really engaged in a story about evolution. It was great to teach her about a topic that I always found interesting too
This time, I got to work with two students: one second-grader and one first grader. The second-grader I worked with was very advanced with his reading but had a hard time comprehending the lesson plan as well as the story we read. The first-grader had to, unfortunately, go home early, so we couldn't really finish our lesson.
The students were great.
I love seeing the progress my student is achieving
I joined Reading Partners at the Payne Elementary school in DC. Since this was that my first day on the job, I was a little nervous to teach my first grader how to read since I'd never met her before. However, once the lesson began and I became more familiar with her, I had so much fun! It was a bit challenging to teach her how to read as she tended to make up words that weren't on the page or wanted to try to memorise the word, so trying to get her to read what is on the page was tough. Other than that, I am really excited to continue working with Reading Partners!
I enjoyed working with the kids.
