Building Compassion is a great opportunity to change the lives of others in the community who have had difficult times. I have volunteered with them on two projects thus far and have learned more constructions skills than I have ever expected along with an increased desire to serve others. While building a tiny house, despite having moments of fatigue I was constantly encouraged to proceed to help out because I wanted to be able to see my efforts into fruition. The developers of the organization, Scot and Anita Lansing, genuinely pour out their heart in every project and are dedicated to see renovations and construction projects completed. Even in light of minimal resources at times and long hours of work, they strive to do what they can to assist others. I would recommend others volunteer with this organizations because your labor really is worth it.
Having to be able to take notes for others made me more focused in class. I was able to receive the feeling that hopefully my notes have helped other succeed in the class.
