Texas Public Health

About

Texas Public Health is THE student organization representing students interested in health education, disease prevention, and the development of a strong public health initiative at the University of Texas at Austin. The interdisciplinary field of public health combines biology, chemistry, medicine, and sociology. At the University of Texas at Austin, the Public Health B.S. degree is broken into 6 concentrations:

  • Biostatistics and Informatics

  • Environmental Health

  • Health Policy and Management

  • Infectious Diseases and Microbiology

  • Nutrition

  • Social and Behavioral Sciences

Texas Public Health is open to all majors interested in public health. We provide information about graduate school, research opportunities around campus, and a vibrant community to explore public health. We hope to raise awareness on public health issues around the globe and foster strong ties of responsibility and dependability to our local Austin community.
