MLK Station Neighborhood Park mulching paths

Saturday, March 2nd, 2019 from 9:00am to 12:00pm (CT)

About

This is a great opportunity to see and beautify Austin's newest park in East Austin, established in 2018. We will be mulching the pathways of the community garden there (St David's Foundation Community Garden) with wood chips on site. Open area, family-friendly activity.  There will be pitchforks, shovels and carts for moving the wood chips to various pathways.  Please wear close-toed shoes that can get dusty, hats, work gloves, and bring a water bottle and sunscreen to apply.  Snacks (KIND bars), some free T-shirts and a water jug will be provided by Austin Parks Foundation. Afterwards feel free to check out the nearly-completed hike and bike trail, the garden's chicken coop, bee hive area and the demonstration garden and the creek! Lots of good things are going on here - come be a part of the progress!! Thanks!
