Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park: Liquidate Ligustrums

Saturday, March 2nd, 2019 from 9:00am to 12:00pm (CT)

About

We will attack a large group of ligustrums along the creeks in Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park. Why ligustrums? Because they are the most pernicious invasive tree in our parks and greenbelts. One way or another, they can choke out every one of our native plants. We'll girdle the big ligustrums, uproot the small ones, and give a large patch of woods a chance to recover as the ligustrums die out this summer.
