Saturday, November 3rd, 2018 from 9:00am to 1:00pm (CT)

About

Come work on NW Park's pond November 3rd. We will be working around the pond with a focus on the edge plantings. There will be four main jobs for our team:
  1. Sycamore point weeding, clean up - after this area is done we will move to other areas
  2. Trail tamers - help to define a visible trail around the pond using rakes and mulch
  3. Sapling pullers - using weed wrenches pull out undesirable tree saplings that have grown around the pond
  4. Plantings - add native plants and grasses to enhance the pond edges after clean up
Water, Kind Bars, other snacks, and T-Shirts will be provided. Please bring a refillable water bottle. Wear appropriate work clothing with long sleeves, long pants, a hat and sunscreen.
Note: poison ivy and fire ants are a present in the area.
