I enjoyed volunteering at Concho Garden/UT Microfarm today. It was a great opportunity to work with other members of the UT community, and it was a nice day to work outside. Today I helped plant turnips and peas, and I really enjoyed it!

Today I volunteered and the Central Texas Food Bank (formerly Capital Area Food bank of Texas) by helping sort dry food items that would be shipped to local distribution centers in the Austin area. This was a fun volunteering event and I enjoyed having the opportunity to give back to my community. In all, the group I volunteered with helped to provide over 7000 meal for families in the Austin area.
I enjoyed volunteering at the food bank. I helped sort and clean donated items to be donated.
Today I volunteered at the Capital Area Food Bank of Texas by sorting through donated dry food items. My responsibilities included checking for expiration dates and dents on boxes, canned goods, and other miscellaneous items. I enjoyed volunteering at this event because seeing all the donated items itemizes the impact that volunteering at this makes.
I enjoyed volunteering for such an uplifting and inspiring event. I volunteered at the finish line and was able to see many of the runners as they made their way through the end of the race. I handed out medals, water, and took pictures for the runners, and I really enjoyed being able to see the pride and joy that illuminated the faces the runners.
I enjoyed putting together the care packages for homeless individuals in the Austin area. It was fun working with and getting to know students from TX' 17, '18, and '19. This was a fun project that allowed me to give to needy individuals in and around my community.
Today I volunteered at the Orange Santa store on campus. I helped unpack, organize, and then display toys for the Orange Santa store, which opens on 12/5. I enjoyed this experience because it was a fun and engaging way to give back to both the UT and Austin community.
Today I volunteered with the Susan G. Komen Foundation in Austin at their annual Race for the Cure. I was able to meet and interact with some breast cancer survivors while working at the registration tent, and later on I was able to encourage runners as they completed the race route, and pass out refreshments to runners. As someone with multiple family members afflicted by breast cancer (and cancer and general) it was great to give back to an organization that is actively looking for a cure.
