Lots of hard workers out there---there was a young girl (maybe 12?) who hauled load after load of mulch---what a trouper!
My original location was cancelled, so I joined the Samsung group nearby. It was windy and cold, but we got a lot of trash and some recyclables. I'm still finding lots of styrofoam----many small pieces of styrofoam cups. I wish businesses would quit using styrofoam.
mulch was dumped right by site---not lots of hauling (yea!)
Great day for mulching. The hot sun only came out for a brief moment. Unfortunately, we had to wrap it up a little early due to thunder and advancing storm.
Hikers, cyclists, and dog walkers were out enjoying the trail. There wasn't much trash. Great morning to be out!
We demolished 4 giant piles of mulch.
The park is Eeyore's-ready!
Lots of people showed up---we got rid of a bunch of ragweed and bamboo, and picked up trash....and painted over graffiti. Some people planted trees, too. It was a busy day at Pease Park.
This was a trail hike opportunity, not a work day, but we did get a little bit of trash when we reached Barton Creek.
