On October 1, 2016, I volunteered with the members of the Asian Business Student Association to clean up the streets of Austin in an event known as "Keep Austin Beautiful." As a director in ABSA, I have volunteered in all of the volunteering events that we have had to offer but I believe this event has been the most impactful for the city of Austin. This event allowed me to see how much the city of Austin has been abused with litter and it opened my eyes to see how much people are just aimlessly throwing away their trash and cigarette butts on the streets. Keep Austin Beautiful is an event offered to every, if not most organizations on campus and it allows these organizations to adopt a street in downtown Austin to clean annually. Surprisingly, a couple of blocks on a single street can become filthy with trash in a single year. I believe that this event allows the people of Austin to do a good deed by cleaning up all of the unnecessary trash thrown around this amazing city and allows us to continue to Keep Austin Beautiful.

In this event, I volunteered with my fellow ABSA members at the Starbright Preschool's Pumpkin Patch. We ran various game stations and candle-making stations as well as food booths. Working with little kids was very enjoyable and seeing their happy faces was a bonus to helping out the hardworking teachers.
