I created a flyer around sustainable agriculture to provide information regarding the topic to fellow students. This flyer included what sustainable agriculture is, some techniques being used, and what students can do to contribute to sustainability. This impact is to replace my absence at Ag Carnival and count for my ag in the community hours.
I helped an underclassman prepare his resume for IPPE in Atlanta in order to be submitted to companies within the poultry industry. We fixed grammatical errors, formatting, and added more substance to his resume as well as discussed interview techniques and what to expect at IPPE.
This was a follow up session to review the edited resume and discuss a few interview tips and tricks such as making sure to research the company that she would be interviewing with and know their core values, and different facts about them to show that she had interest in the company. We also discussed professional dress attire and made sure that the edits were completed correctly.
I helped an underclassmen edit her resume in order to prepare herself for internship interviews this summer. We worked on formatting, and added experiences to her resume on this day and then planned to meet again in a week to review her resume after she fixed the errors that I pointed out to her.
