I loved my time volunteering here. All of the staff was so friendly and helpful and had so much for the volunteers to help with. I was able to help fill bags with gifts for the kids, since it was their last day of Kids Nite for the semester. I also got to talk to the kids and play with them. It was awesome to see everything they had planned for the kids to do from crafts and games to having Fayetteville police officers come with their K-9 unit for their ball hogs event, I could tell the kids loved being there. It was awesome to see!!
This was a great community service experience. I was able to help with an after-school care program. We made handprint turkeys, had snack, and played outside.
I volunteered in front of the union, tabling for Fall Dinner. I was here from 12:30-1:30 and during this time I was able to sell tickets to people who hadn't known about the event before they came by our table. I also was able to explain what our dinner was and who it benefitted to the people passing by the union, even if they didn't end up buying a ticket. Overall it was very fun, beneficial, and I got to meet a few more of my sisters who I had never met before.
