I called from a list of GW Rowing alumni to attend special alumni events and the regatta, as well as ask them about donating to GW Rowing.
I attended and donated to a polar plunge fundraiser organized by the Catholic University of America for the Special Olympics and witnessed two of my coaches and my captain brave the icy waters to raise money.
This was my final day of training for The Grassroots Project before being placed into a program in a DC charter school.
I continued on my training from the previous day, learning about the format of The Grassroots Project's classes, games, and curriculum.
I began my training to become a coach with The Grassroots Project, which seeks to teach middle school-aged youth in DC's public and charter schools about sexual health to combat the spread of HIV and AIDS.
We met in Bell 207, came up with ideas to paint onto a parachute to illuminate and bring attention to organizations on GW's campus that are taking action against climate change and fostering responsible environmental action, and painted the designs onto a parachute.
