We sorted, wrapped and delivered gifts/toys for Give a Gift. I really enjoyed this experience as I think it is very important to give back to families in need around the DC community.
On Saturday-11/17, we helped set up the gymnastics arena in the Smith Center (2 hours). On Sunday-11/18, we helped break down the gymnastics arena in the Smith Center (2 hours).
During our Chantilly Exhibition, we spoke to the team girls about the importance of working hard. There were around 75 gymnasts/parents which we broke up into 9 groups where we spoke about topics like nutrition, team work and resilience.
Our team shopped for the GW Colonial Harvest. We went food shopping for items to make 5 baskets and delivered them to Smith! I am so glad our team could make such a big impact on the DC community.
We had Peabody Preschool visit our gymnastics facility and talked with the kids about ways to be active
We volunteered at the Walk-off Parkinson's Disease where we handed out t-shirts and helped set up before people arrived.
Race to Beat Cancer
During the Komen Race for the Cure, we helped at the registration booth with signing-in participants and giving them t-shirts to wear during the race.
